During summer 2009 Silvasti delivered 4 x 3 MW wind turbines on top of the Uljabuouda arctic mountain in Northern Sweden.
The mountain was 800 m high and the road had maximum steepness of 14 %, which set certain demands for the transport planning and equipment. Also the weights and dimensions made this project very demanding. The heaviest part was a nacelle, with weight of 127 tons. The longest parts, the blades, were 49,5 meters long. Cargo origin was Poland for the blades and Finland for the rest of the cargo.
Project was completed on door-to-door basis, using charter vessels, barges and pontoon and truck transports.
