Silvasti selected among the best heavy haulage -companies at the ESTA Awards 2014

SILVASTI selected among the best heavy haulage-companies in the “Best European transport up to 120t”- series at the ESTA Awards 2014

During the summer 2013 Silvasti carried out a rescue operation of a wooden work of art. This piece of art called “Woima the bull” is done by finnish artist Miina Äkkijyrkkä. In this rescue transport operation, “Woima” was transported from the port of Hamina to the home farm of Finnish celebrity Aira Samulin in Hyrsylänmutka, Tuusula. The transport operation received great attention and one of the main Finnish TV-channels, TV2, made a program of this special transport project. The program aired throughout Finland at prime time. Silvasti’s work as a part of this cultural event received a great accolade when Silvasti LTD and this transport operation were chosen as one of the four nominees to compete in the “Best transport of the year 2013”-title. The “Oscars” of special transports is an annual gala of the ESTA (European Association of abnormal road transport and mobile cranes). At the gala the best transport operations of the year are awarded. This year Silvasti will have the honor to fight for victory in the category “Best transport of the year under 120 tons”. Winner will be announced in the ESTA Awards gala in Amsterdam on 24.4.

The jury of the competition was not only delighted about the transportation that was carried out with high quality but also about the big positive publicity, that introduced the industry and activities widely to the general public.
