Chimney transports from Kangasala to Espoo

Transport Company Ville Silvasti Ltd transported a chimney, which was 80 meters long and 7,0 m in diameter. It was divided in 4 sections, and the biggest section dimensions were 25,0 x 7,0 x 7,0 m and 76 tons. Transport was a combined road – barge – road transport. First 300 km were conducted on public roads. The pieces were reloaded on a barge in the Port of Inkoo, in Southern Finland. The next part was done with a barge to the Suomenoja power plant and the last part was done on the road again. There were about 500 m to the final destination. This transport project was a very demanding one because of its massive dimensions.
