Wind service hub

Silvasti wind service hub for servicing, storage and recycling in Central Finland

Centrally located to serve Finnish wind farms

Silvasti’s new service and storage hub in Hirvaskangas, Central Finland, brings together everything needed to keep wind power turning.

A perfectly suited facility for handling, repairing and recycling main components, combining heated industrial scale halls, heavy cranes and a central location.

Strategically located just north of Jyväskylä, the hub serves as a natural crossroads for Finland’s wind industry.

  • Within a one-day drive of most Finnish wind farms
  • More than 7,000 m2 of heated indoor space for blades, hubs, nacelles and critical components such as bearings, transformers and generators
  • Total storage area of 5 hectares, including large outdoor zones with crane access
  • Excellent connectivity via the E4 highway and supporting regional routes

Built for heavy components and high standards

The five heated halls, each 130 meters long and up to 7 meters high, are well suited for safe and efficient handling of large turbine parts.

Old or damaged components can be safely dismantled, sorted and recycled in a controlled indoor environment.

  • Ten overhead cranes for flexible lifting and assembly work
  • Ample workshop space for technicians – your own or Silvasti’s
  • Full employee amenities: canteen, changing rooms and offices.
